Oh what a wait we’ve had this year to get out in our gardens, to see the early spring flowers show themselves…

However, with hopefulness, I’m sharing some fun 2022 plant introductions.

There’s a new panicle hydrangea out this year called Little Lime Punch. It’s like Lime Punch but the flowers progress from lime to white, light pink, and rich Hawaiian Punch red!

It reblooms throughout the summer so you’ll see these four colors mixed through the season! And it’s hardy to zone 3a.

I’ve never been a big morning glory fan but this new introduction has me rethinking that. ‘Blue my Mind’ is a dwarf annual morning glory that grows to just 20 inches and would be perfect alone in a container.

Dwarf Morning Glory ‘Blue My Mind’ It has true blue flowers, loves the heat and blooms all summer long. Calibrachoa are some of my favorite annuals. They are almost a must in sunny containers.

This new one ‘Superbells Double Twilight’ would be superb with yellow African daisies. Pretty purple, mauve, white flowers bloom summer to first frost in full to part sun.

It’s heat tolerant too and no need to deadhead this one or the morning glory.

This last darling plant is an annual you’ll grow from seed most likely. Cosmos ‘Apricotta’ really caught my eye paging through the Burpee catalog.

Plant in full sun, they’ll grow about 3 ft tall with flowers that are shades of apricot, peach and rose. These delicate beauties would be gorgeous in your border.
