A new year is coming. I think we can all say we’re happy to say goodbye to 2020. So let’s talk about some new plants for 2021.

I found a canna from Growing Colors called ‘Angel Martin’. While I’m not sure how easy it will be to get, I just HAD to show you.

Showy peach flowers contrast beautifully against dark bronze foliage in summer. It prefers more shade than other Cannas and works well in container gardens as it grows to just 2 to 3 ft. tall. It’s really stunning. Put this one in your favorites list! It’s in mine. T

hey are also offering a low growing Columbine called Early Bird ‘Red/Yellow’.

Cheerful two-toned flowers are red with yellow centers. Spring blooms occur on short stems, just about 11 inches tall. It has low mounding foliage. It prefers part sun. It blooms from early spring to early summer. Gorgeous. And it’s a perennial.

For something statuesque and stunning, go for their new Elephant Ear ‘Black Sapphire Gecko’. Wow!

The huge leaves look like black satin with maroon stems and the leaf undersides. It’s like it shimmers in sunlight! Use where height is needed in planters or the back of the garden; sturdy stems keep foliage upright and tidy. It grows 4 to 6 ft tall and wide. Part shade to part sun, this Elephant ear would look so elegant and tropical on a patio or porch.

And for a sweet spring how about a ‘Baby Kim’ lilac?!

It’s from Proven Winners and grows to just 3 ft. tall and wide. What a pretty little shrub and smells so good.
